Bike lanes help me feel safe on the sidewalks as a pedestrian. Ive been happy with the govt (even the spa), but this bike lane thibg goes too far.

This won’t work, stop wasting resources. Also too many unrelated points in one bill.

Don’t remove needed and WANTED bike lanes just for the sake of Doug Fords commute to work! Bike lanes allow many people who live in the downtown core to get from one place to another. We are talking about people who may not even have any other means to travel due to income. Lire davantage

Outrageous. Yet another puzzling decision from a government that shows it has zero respect for the tax dollars of the citizens of this province.

As a conservative voter I oppose this bill. The money should be going into rapid transit, not more highways. Also, stay out of city business, bike lanes are the responsibility of the cities, not a micro managing Premier. As a conservative, I object to big government, and that's what this is. Lire davantage

This is abhorrent big government overreach. Stop wasting my tax dollars to spite Toronto. This is a terrible waste of resources and will further gridlock the city. Listen to the experts and stay out of municipal planning.

I am generally pro-business but have some serious concerns about the proposed legislation to require municipalities to apply for and receive approval from the province should they wish build a bike lane that would remove a car traffic lane. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are one of the many solutions to reducing gridlock. Start building more and increase funding to public transit.

I am against this proposal. It includes the right to take someone’s home away if they live near a highway. You are focusing only on cars as a means of transportation and that is a very limited view for a government that claims to be for the people. Shame on you.

I am a 39-year-old freelancer in the west end of Toronto. I bike for 8 months of the year and I am a driver that owns a car. I want to keep all of the existing bike lanes in the city of Toronto. Lire davantage

This is an overstepping of provincial authority. Let municipalities and cities decide what is best with respect to bike lanes and street planning. Lire davantage

Why are you doing this? Removing bike lanes will cost money, make more people less safe and will not solve traffic issues. Lire davantage

The province's proposal to remove bike lanes from the city is a deeply sad example of provincial overreach on what should be a municipal matter. It is anti-business and increases the risk of fatal or life-threatening collisions. Lire davantage
