I strongly oppose Bill 212 and feel compelled to speak out because bike lanes have had such a positive impact on our city and my own experience as a resident of Toronto and casual cyclist. Lire davantage

This is obscene and should not be validated. Multiple examples in Europe - with arguably more narrow and antiquated infrastructure and streets - support and in fact thrive with bike lanes. Lire davantage

Bike lanes provide a much safer environment for people to travel through metropolitan areas. Particularly along routes with heavy or fast-moving vehicular traffic where biking in the same lane as vehicles poses a much higher risk to bicycle riders. Lire davantage

Bill 212 is an overreach of the scope of office of the premier. Urban planning is the responsibility of the municipality and a conservative government should be acting to limit interference in municipal affairs if they are to stay true to their own mandate. Lire davantage

Hi! I am strongly against this motion. Cities need to be able to make local decisions about local issues- such as the inclusion of a bike lane- without being caught up in bureaucratic red tape. Lire davantage

I am writing to strongly oppose Bill 212. The proposed changes are deeply concerning, particularly regarding bike lanes, taxpayer money, and broader implications like environmental impacts and provincial overreach. Here are my key concerns: Bike Lane Removal Jeopardizes Safety: Lire davantage

As a Toronto resident, I am steadfastly against the overreach of the Ontario Provincial Government in dictating the implementation of bike lanes in Toronto. As this is a municipal issue, the Ontario Government should not be interfering. As such, I oppose this bill.

Bike lanes are important!! Getting rid of them would NOT solve the traffic issues in this city. They actually aid in the reduction of cars on the roads. Also getting rid of these lanes will not decrease the amount of riders but will increase accidents to those who commute on bike.

I use the yonge bike lane everyday and it is so precious to my safety that it remains accessible. The road goes downhill around summerhill station and lots of cars turn right on the smaller streets. It's clear that the bike lane offers an incredible security to the cyclist like me. Lire davantage

This proposed legislation would negate significant value realized from more accessible and safe bike transportation in cities across Ontario. The Province should not interfere with Municipality’s planning and decision making. Lire davantage

The city has already paid for those bike lanes. I refuse to allow my tax dollars to be used to undo something that has already been paid for and isn’t broken. Lire davantage

Ontario's Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act, which aims to improve transportation infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion, is a proposal that may sound promising on the surface, but upon closer examination, it reveals several flaws that could worsen the problem it seeks to address and ulti Lire davantage

Comprehensive networks of connected bike lanes on major streets allow and encourage clean transportation in cities. Removing bike lanes encourages the use of fuel-burning vehicles. Please desist with the idea of reducing the number of bike lanes.

The disgust I have for our politicians to use misleading bill names to hide the true intent. To hide "stealing land" and "skipping environmental assessments" behind a bike lane bill is pathetic. Scrap this stupid bill

This is one of the most wasteful potential policies put forth by this government. Absolutely mind boggling that the Provincial government is being so heavy handed in regards to overturning municipal government policy. A massive waste of time and money, at the expense of the taxpayer. Lire davantage

This proposal is based on an entirely flawed premise. Removing the bike lane doesn't add a lane for car traffic, as removing the bike lane doesn't remove the cyclists or on-street parking. Lire davantage

To Whom It May Concern, Removing bike lanes will endanger my life and those of my loved ones. I already find that bike lanes need improvement for my teenager to safely ride her bike! Research has repeatedly shown that widening roads makes congestion worse. Lire davantage

Hello! Please do something more useful with this beautiful countries resources. Maybe try being proactive and adding to this province, instead of tearing down important infrastructure.
