In a class-world city, public transportation, with its correspondent infrastructure, should be offered in different options and budgets to cover its inhabitants' necessities. Lire davantage

I am strongly opposed to Bill 212, and in particular, the provisions requiring provincial approval of new bicycle lanes and removal of existing bike lanes on Bloor Street, Yonge Street, and University Avenue. Lire davantage

Removing bike lanes will not reduce traffic. Keep cyclists safe by maintaining these lanes!! Many people commute using these lanes. Charge people instead for not carpooling in the downtown core—what takes up more space? Single occupancy cars or 1 person on a bike?!

Hello, I am of the opinion that bike lanes should be the decision of the municipal government as part of their local responsibilities. Lire davantage

Ontario needs safe cycling infrastructure. This bill is an attack on our civil liberties as Ontarians. Every person who is on a bike instead of driving, is helping to decrease car traffic. Removing the option of safe cycling will only create more traffic. This Bill would be a climate disaster. Lire davantage

I own a Car and I like using it! Removing Bike Lanes will make driving in and around the City IMPOSSIBLY SLOW! Removing Bike Lanes will mean having to drive BEHIND Bikes even more than I already do. Lire davantage

Removing bicycle lanes will not reduce congestion in Toronto. By giving more citizen incentive to drive, more citizen will choose to drive and increase congestion two fold. Lire davantage

For the past several months, my commute from The Kingsway to an exercise class in Bloor West Village has been taking three to four times as long to get to. The trip, which I have been making several times a week for several years, involves at least four bottlenecks: Lire davantage

If you get rid of the bike lanes I will personally sue the government of Ontario every time a driver gets closer than the legally recognized one metre distance between us. Let these decisions fall on the cities and not on the provincial government.

I am a physician at Toronto General Hospital, commuting almost daily by bike from home. An continuous bikelane network provides the necessary safety to me as a cyclist and removal of key bikelanes like on Bloor and University Avenue would be detrimental.

I strongly oppose this bill. I am a Toronto resident who regularly relies on bike lanes to commute to work, run errands, and travel through the city. I choose to cycle because it reduces grid lock and reduces air pollution, making the city safer and more efficient for all of its residents. Lire davantage

My family strongly opposes Bill 212, which restricts the installation of new bike lanes and gives the Province authority to remove existing ones. It undermines safety, sustainability, and the local autonomy needed to design transportation solutions that work for communities. Lire davantage

Bill 212 will make downtown and Toronto worse and less accessible, not to mention it goes against all the efforts to modernize the city and fight climate change. Lire davantage

As a Torontonian who uses the Bloor and University bike lanes every week to get to work, including in the winter (we have mild winters compared to the rest of the country) I can confidently say that passing this proposal will make my commute, and the commutes of many others who live in the city, sig Lire davantage

The decision to remove bike lanes is a short term reaction that will have little effect on traffic delays which are anffected by many other factors including construction and significant negative implications for quality of life in Toronto. Lire davantage
