I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint. These monies can also be used to improve our health care to mitigate the effects of this pollution on their health. Read more

The proposed cancelling of Cap-and-Trade is a terrible idea for my city and the province. Living in Hamilton we have even more to lose than the average city. Being home to multiple heavy industry companies we greatly benefit in making sure that the companies strive to reduce their carbon footprint. Read more

I believe the cancellation of Cap and Trade is a very serious mistake. Government's first job is to protect its citizens. The cancellation of cap and trade puts us all at risk especially our children. The destructive effects of climate change are irrefutable Read more

Protecting the environment for our children and future generations does not come free. It has a cost. The Paris climate accord is one positive, proactive measure, now, to move us towards avoiding an environmental catastrophe down the road. Read more

I want to live in a province that does its part to combat climate change. I want to leave Ontario a better place for Ontarians of the future. I want to promote sustainable energy and encourage the use of conservation techniques and technologies (promote negawatts - OMG, is this ever basic). Read more

I am very angry that we are moving backwards in the fight against climate change. I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint. Read more

Our climate on planet Earth is changing. I have read and witnessed too much to believe that the shifts we are experiencing now are within normal parameters. I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050. I do believe that this is the only way to go, in order to stabilize our climate.

As a concerned citizen of Ontario, Canada and the planet earth, I think it is forward thinking to have a plan for reducing emissions to help slow global warming. Cancelling a plan without having a plan to take its place is backward thinking. Read more

Climate change is real, and will have lasting effects on ourselves and our children. The science on this is settled. We have an obligation to enact policies that are in the best environmental interests of Ontario, and Canada as a whole. Enforcing Bill 4 is irresponsible. Read more

First let me say that in my view, it was a big mistake to cancel the cap and trade system. It was generating substantial revenue and created thousand of jobs in the green energy sector, many directed to the small business doing house retrofits. Read more

I strongly oppose Bill 4. The Ontario government must present a new climate change plan before repealing our existing plan - our main line of environmental protection! I want a real climate change plan to reduce emissions, help people save energy and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy. Read more

Please do not repeal our province's carbon mitigation and reduction initiatives, and please reinstate initiatives like the home upgrade credit. People were using programs and credits like that one (or were preparing to do so) to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, including my in-laws. Read more
