Removing any policy that is pro climate is a loss. Companies that generate more than 25,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas are just laughing at the end of this policy and rejoicing. Just so Ford can save some money to bring us Buck-a-Beer and lower fuel prices? Read more

Cancelling existing already insufficient measures to reduce carbon emmissions is irresponsible. The next generations will justifiably blame our political leaders for their shortsighted opportunitism, lack of imagination and failure to understand.

As a resident of Ontario, I can only count myself as extremely lucky to have not experienced the catastrophic impacts that the changing climate has had on our world. The hurricanes that plague the South-western coast of the United States are too-close examples of how damaging inaction can be. Read more

Cap and Trade ensures that those creating the most pollution pay their fair share of the costs associated with its effects. Smog kills almost 10,000 people a year in Ontario (source provided), and creates a huge burden on our healthcare system. Read more

The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warns that it will take "unprecedented political committment" to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, provincial governments across Canada, including Ontario's, are rejecting carbon pricing. Read more
