My daughter attended a school in which didn't have air conditioning. It was different when she attended high school, and warm days were far more bearable. Cap and Trade legislation provides schools with fundings for much needed repairs, energy efficiency and better classroom conditions. Read more

I am very concerned about climate change and it is time for Ontario to stand up and lead on the issue. I want an Ontario where we are 100% powered by clean energy as soon as possible. I want to see our commitments to the Paris Climate Agreement fulfilled. Read more

We have just learned that the world will be at the tipping point where climate change becomes irreversible in only twelve years. As a province, we can show ourselves to be leaders in developing and encouraging technological solutions that will meet our obligations under the Paris Accord. Read more

I don't believe you should be cancelling the cap and trade plan without anything to replace it. It's nice there's a requirement to replace it with something but I think it's irresponsible as there is no plan for the interim and no timeline for how long the interim will be.

I believe the cancellation of the Cap and Trade Act is a short sighted policy. I believe Cap and Trade to be an effective method for restricting greenhouse gases. Cap and Trade puts the cost of greenhouse gases where they should be - on the people that create them. Read more

Ending cap and trade abruptly is wasteful, cost-inefficient, and harmful to the businesses who have planned their financials and strategies around a predictable, understandable, effective policy tool that was resulting in Ontario achieving measurable reductions in emissions. Read more
