As Canadian citizens and citizens of Ontario we do not agree with any changes to the Oil, Gas, and Salt Resources Act or any changes to the Mining Act related to carbon Storage or any other means.
The government must make it harder for fossil fuel companies to extract from the ground. Fossil fuels have many externalities such as water contamination, air pollution, global warming, habitat destruction and so on. Companies do not contribute to economic activity that benefits the public.
