I am opposed to this proposal unless the proponent and the Ministry can provide adequate assurance to the Township and residents of Oro-Medonte that this will not negatively impact the availability and quality of water to the many residential users in the immediate vicinity and on the Oro Moraine in Read more

NO. NO. NO. This proposal for water taking must be turned down,. This is a New Permit request and is a Category 3. According to the MECP a Category 3 is "water takings are anticipated to have the highest potential of causing unacceptable environmental impactor interference". Read more

This is an absurd request and is to the benefit of one corporation not the constituent community at large. The answer should be no. The environment can not support these continuous ongoing multiple drains upon its stability. Stop it. Read more

I strongly oppose the approval of this Category 3 water-taking permit, since it will have the highest potential of causing unacceptable environmental impactor interference. The province needs to be more diligent in protecting our precious water resources of the Oro Moraine!

The Aggregate Industry is extracting 13 times more gravel than we need at this time. There is no overall plan to manage this limited resource. Instead the industry is pillaging the land scape and polluting our water supply. I am deeply opposed to this application to take water to wash gravel. Read more

This proposal is for a significant quantity of water and when combined with other aggregate producers and other heavy users (eg: water bottling) in the vicinity, will place a huge drain on these aquifers. Aquifers are vast, but not unlimited. This permit must be turned down.

Let them purchase from a true water company that can truck in their water to satisfy their daily needs. Taking that obscene amount from the well, any well, is to insane to be even considered. Let them use grey water via a reclaimed water infrastructure.

I strongly disagree with this proposal. Isn’t it enough that they are allowed to extract the aggregate that filters the water in our aquifer? Now they want to put additional strain on this precious resource by depleting it to further their profits. Read more
