I made the choice to not have a car, specifically because there are bike lanes on Yonge Street and Bloor Street. These provide me safe passage to get North, or east and west. Read more

It is unnecessary for a provincial agency to be weighing in on local road matters. The City of Toronto is completely capable of looking after these issues and are well equipped to do so. I disagree with this proposal. Bike lanes are a necessity and saving lives.

Absolute idiocy. A car with one passenger takes up so much more room than a bike, a bus, or any other vehicle that carries more than one person. Instead of limiting the number of bikes, the number of single passenger vehicles.

As I pursue my theology degree at UofT I have been joyfully commuting by bicycle using the bike lanes that finally make me safe in Toronto. I always drive defensively, assuming I am invisible to car drivers and never assuming they will follow the law because my life is on the line. Read more
