I stay with my daughter over the winter in Greensville. Incineration non recyclables was threatened last year. This would be devastating to the area, 2 waterfalls that are packed with tourists are right next door to Carmouse. There are many conservation areas in the area. Read more

Please do not implement the June 4th amendments for the regulation. Instead amend the regulation to encourage producers to focus on reuse (the circular economy) and recycling. A great reuse example is a producer who provides reusable food containers for eateries and stores. Read more

Mr. Ford, why do you continually put the interests of the business community ahead of the interests of the citizens of Ontario? We need to keep the businesses that use these containers and packaging to be responsible for the recycling of the materials. Read more

Delaying the deadline hurts Ontarians. Producers may be facing increased costs but the amendment ignores the increased revenues that producers have also had. Coca cola, one of the largest producers and polluters had net revenues increase by 6% last year.

If you eliminate blue box recycling program for small businesses that either do not have room for commercial bins or the funds you will simply have more litter and illegal dumping taking place. This is a great program accessible for small businesses and should under no circumstance be eliminated.
