I oppose bill 5. We need to maintain oversight and environmental protection. Industries in “special economic zones” should not be able to bypass the environmental regulations. Protect the environment everywhere and keep Ontario the beautiful province it is!
As an Ontario resident I am absolutely opposed to this bill. I am tired of these short cuts being introduced to undercut our environmental protections. This is awful and should not stand.
I am not in support of this bill not the changes it is proposing. We cannot sacrifice our environment for the economy. This bill does not make prudent changes and seeks to change things that are working that it should not

Absolutely horrendous. The gutting of these protections for species and their habitats is unconscionable. This is an affront to all Ontarians. Give your heads a shake.
If Doug ever has grandchildren they're going to realize long before they're adults what he did to sell out the environment and our futures. This version of Therme isn't reputable- no company should dictate the destruction of our public spaces to become private at OUR expense.

Ontario needs strong environmental protections to preserve the health of ourselves, our communities and other species that call Ontario home. Do not change the endangered species act.

I believe we should be striving for stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species rather than trying to strip the existing protections away.

Protect the land and our wildlife. Once it’s gone, it is gone. We have to be the protectors of the world, to guarantee that the future generations will have what we have.

I strongly oppose Bill 5. This Bill doesn’t prioritize Ontarians, it allows selective priority to be given to industries at the expense of our environment, and average citizens. We need more environmental protections and industry standards, not less.
