I already have an issue with transport trucks not stopping for school busses or not moving over for people walking and you want to bring more trucks into town? You don't need to have a dump that close to town!! Read more

No to the proposed land fill site in Dresden. Trump was used as an excuse to fast track but he will be gone in four years and this would be existing for years. This is a small rural community that has been struggling to keep afloat and maintain its identity. Read more

An environmental assessment was required for a reason. The health concerns and effects of having a dump less them 3.5 km to a town is significant. This is less then a km not only to the town but to 2 schools! What happened to if the people don’t want it then we won’t do it? Read more

The proposal to exempt York1 from ana environmental assessment is shocking, disgusting, and may be disastrous for Ontarios most important farming hub. Chatham-Kent produces tbe majority of our provinces produce. Read more

This is a horrible spot for a landfill. Any industrial site needs to have an environmental assessment done. The fact that the government wants to skip this when there is a water way directly behind the site is negligent. Either move the site or do the necessary research. Thank you. Read more

The Ontario Government cannot be serious about this. The proposed landfill sits on the edge of Mollys Creek which feeds into the Sydenham River. This could easily become a environmental disaster. The products being suggested for recycling on the property are dangerous to human health. Read more

I'm concerned over the water ways that are connected to the land. The leaching that can happen. Can they not find a site that is not so close to our fresh waterways and the effects on the fish and amphibians we have lots of endangered species in the area. Read more

I strongly believe this proposal should not even be considered. Dresden and surrounding areas are a beautiful landscape full of agriculture and communities with schools and businesses. Having a dump this close to town would ruin a lot of that for the people who live here. Read more

Removing the Environmental Assessment requirements for the York1 Waste Disposal Site Project is unjust. It would be detrimental to the surrounding waterway's that are in that immediate area. A full comprehensive Environmental Assessment is required as a preliminary step.

In a time when politics seems to be our greatest enemy , the Ontario government is reinforcing this feeling. Dresden is a small town with a lot of heart. In the surrounding area we have some of the most valuable land for agriculture in Ontario. Read more

I am strongly opposed to allowing this Dump/Landfill to go through with out the extensive Environmental Assessment we were promised by the Ministry. My HOME is less that 2km from this site. My life, my family, my pets, my neighbours, MATTER! Read more

If no Environmental Assessment is done on the property, then how will you know: If the soil will contain the pollutants and stop them from reaching the ground water and rivers? If the noise from crushing wood and concrete will make living within a km impossible? Read more

I am so vehemently opposed to this proposal. Regardless of the endangered species threatened with this project, the waterways potentially becoming contaminated, there is yet a very important component not being considered and that is the effect on the lives of human beings. Read more

Please do not remove the Environmental Assessment Requirements. This location is home to several native species and is 1 km away from a town. This is neither an ideal location nor a plausible one. Read more

This is a brutal turn of events. Doug Ford promised that if the residents of Dresden did not want the facility to proceed that it would not. Now it appears that it does not matter what they want it will be forced upon them. Read more
