It is clear to me that the proposed changes remove government accountability, making it easier to prioritize economic growth over protecting the environment. I do not have confidence that the proposed changes will protect endangered species but serve to benefit only the developer. Read more

I believe that it is very shortsighted to remove 106 species from the Endangered Species List so we can “Unleash the Economy”. When did we as humans decide that our desire for “progress” is more important than the survival of so many others? Read more

I oppose this bill. Endangered species should not be removed from this list. This government needs to do better at protecting the environment that we live in and not chase economical gain that only benefits a select few. You have a responsibility to govern and respect everyone.

This proposal is clearly self-serving to developers and has nothing to do with preserving endangered species or helping preserve biodiversity in Ontario. It is simply designed to pave the way for developers to mow over forests Wetlands significant habitat and agricultural lands full stop. Read more

I oppose these changes. The species are on the list for a reason, we have not increased the population enough to take them off the list so I don't see why they should be. Repeal Bill 5, this bill effects not only our generation but future generations. A diverse ecosystem is a healthy ecosystem
