I do not support the legislative changes that aim to slash protections for species and their habitats. This is IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE in a time we need our ecological systems to be functioning to their best ability, so WE CAN LIVE AND OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS CAN SURVIVE. Read more

This is Th e opposite of what we need. We’ve already destroyed so much habitat, taking away even more animals protections on the endangered list when they have not recovered is greedy and irresponsible

I hugely opposed making any more changes to the protections of endangered species in Ontario. Once a species is gone, it is gone forever, and we are being poor stewards to this land and future generations if we let that happen on our watch. Read more

I'm writing to demand that the Ontario government repeal Bill 5 and protect endangered species in Ontario! Like it or not, humans are a part of Ontario’s ecosystems so what happens to endangered species affects us too!

I am against this bill! A huge environmental step back, and one that cannot be undone. The economy will mean absolutely nothing if our environment can no longer sustain us because we have extracted beyond sustainable levels.

I oppose this legislation. Speeding up development may short term help battle tariffs - but long term it’s damaging the environment and species we can’t get back. Allowing appropriate development to proceed while protecting species at risk is essential. Both are possible. Read more

This comment is in opposition to the disastrous proposed changes to the protection and care of our endangered species. In a time of climate collapse, the LAST thing we should be doing is seeking to destroy. It is high time governments wake up to the interconnectedness of all species. Read more

Removing endangered and at risk species from the endangered species act is stepping backwards in regards to our protections of the environment. We're already living in a world with mass extinction, and losing biodiversity does not benefit our future. Read more

The Ontario government is trading away our environment and species at risk to line the pockets of the wealthiest corporations by further eroding species at risk protections. The ESA should not be repealed for a weaker SCA. In fact, the ESA should be strengthened. Read more
