I completely agree with the decision of HCO to keep authority of the existing Conservation Areas as the management of those areas was very well attended. A merger with other Ontario Conservation Areas will create chaos and confusion. Read more

I agree with Hamilton Conversation Authority and Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority's submissions to the ERO. Both these CA have done a great job maintaining the local conservation areas and I believe that decisions should be made at a local level so that the populations' local needs are met. Read more

I fully support HCA’s submission to the ERO. The removal of local decision-making would undermine the community’s role in conservation, and I strongly advocate for keeping these decisions grounded locally

The proposed amalgamation of the existing conservation authorities has not been well thought out as it applies to the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority. There is no natural link between the region supported by the LRCA and the nearest proposed body to the east. Read more

The HCA’s points are valid. I agree with them. We need to focus on local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community with the people who are intimately woven into the daily happenings.
