This proposal seems like another sham put forth by the government to facilitate the handling of green space. Amalgamating all these regions is suspect. It’s not streamlining if you’re losing valuable organizations who actually care about the land and will fight for the rights of nature & wildlife.

I agree with the position submitted by the Hamilton Conservation Authority. The Province has not identified a clear problem that this merger would solve, and there is no evidence that local conservation authorities are failing to meet expectations—HCA already delivers efficient, reliable service.

This is so upsetting, I donate to Grey Sauble Conservation. The importance of protecting our local resources has never been more important, and it’s heartbreaking to think that Grey Sauble Conservation will get swallowed up by a larger group and be less impactful
