This proposal is preposterous. The traffic in the area of Trafalgar and the QEW is gridlocked for hours every evening. At times it has taken me 15 mins just to cross over the QEW on Trafalgar going northbound. Read more

I live five kilometers from the Oakville GO station and I'm in the area often. I can attest to the horrible gridlock we experience currently near the station for several hours a day. Read more

The residents and officials of Oakville need to be listened to. They have legitimate concerns. Oakville is a wonderful place and has its own expansion and housing plans. Also, most people recognize the downturn in the condo market for new builds, not just people in that industry. Read more

The proposal from the ministry (MZO) is not a responsible or practical proposal. No one wants to live in show box size condos or in a neighborhood that will be in constant gridlock (it's there now during rush hours). Read more

As a resident of the Town of Oakville I completely oppose the proposal to build multiple high density towers. The immediate area neighbouring Oakville Go is already heavily congested. Traffic is already difficult to navigate. Read more

What is the logic in building shoe box condos (that nobody wants to buy) that will 1) overwhelm the towns infrastructure 2) potentially overwhelm the towns schools and 3) add zero value to the community. Literally nobody wants this, go build your density somewhere else and leave our town alone.

I could not be more horrified to see this proposal. I grew up in Oakville and am still a resident today. The population density has increased to such an extent that driving down the street leaves you met with traffic that is unreasonable. Read more

Please approve the construction of new housing. We need more housing as the supply of housing is a constraint on citizens that want to live in Oakville. As a resident of Oakville since 2000 I wholeheartedly support more development.

The beauty of this specific area of Oakville, and also its historical value as a Lakeshore town that has some of the most fond memories of Ontario, like the historical Port of Entry that was closed in early 1900, the route from the Underground Railroad thorugh Lake Ontario all the way to the 'North Read more

This proposal is unreal. The fact that so many people would be packed into such a small area, in an already economically important and sensitive area, is terrible planning. Read more

With the explosion of development in recent years Oakville lacks the infrastructure to support the incoming volume of new residence and vehicles. Oakville now suffers big city problems with traffic and crime. Read more

The current TOC plan appears to have a density of 2800 people per hectare, double what Oakville already allows. This would make it the densest area on the planet. Read more

While I can appreciate the need to increase housing in Oakville, something to this degree without the infrastructure for proper transportation is irresponsible. Traffic at Cornwall/ Trafalgar, Cross/ Trafalgar and QEW/ Trafalgar is already out of control with no one monitoring it. Read more

As a resident of Oakville for 25 years I am absolutely against this proposal. I don't think the government will find any Oakville resident in favor of it. Maybe a developer. The proposal does NOT fit into Oakville's heritage character. Read more
