This is absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible. This is not in keeping with the spirit of the Oakville we all love. Oakville does not need mass high rises. The increased density will put a strain on roads and other infrastructure. Read more

I heartily object to this plan. Oakville does not have the infrastructure to handle that many new citizens. The Oakville Go station is completely packed every working day. I like the plan proposed a few years ago for the refurbishment of Kerr and Speers. Read more

Re 025-1368, I'm unhappy the provincial government is moving to ignore the wise and careful town planning process that our Oakville town council and citizens have completed. Read more

I have lived in Oakville for 15 years just off Trafalgar Rd. I use the Oakville GO on a regular basis to get to work. Over the last 5 years Trafalgar Rd has become crippled with traffic. In fact, leaving the Go train on Cornwall or Cross takes about 30 minutes just to get to Iroquois Shore Rd. Read more

Oakville was once a beautiful town, full of greenery. You already ruined it thanks to massive construction on Dundas. Please don't turn it into a concrete jungle by building these 11 skyscrapers. Neither the town roads, schools or Go-station can support such massive influx of people. Read more

We have lived in Oakville for more than 20 years and the changes in our TOWN are turning our town into something we, sadly, no longer recognize. There are no plans for infrastructure improvements, additional schools, playgrounds, etc. Read more

The residents of the Town of Oakville cannot support this plan of constructing 11 enormous condo buildings in the area of the GO train station. This Midtown Plan has no support from City Council or the residents. Read more

This is a terrible idea that will only bring grid lock to an area that is already affected by rush hour trains. I work and live in the area and with current traffic patterns I can get to work in under 10 minutes with no traffic. During rush hour that time can increase to 20-25 minutes. Read more

This entire plane is ridiculous. Build infracture first- schools, hospitals, daycare, playground, parking roads.... first than add houses. Not opposite. This project will benefit only developers.

As a land developer myself, I find the proposed density absurdly void of balance. The strain on public infrastructure in this area is already peaked with the massive growth Oakville has experienced in the last 15 years, north of the QEW. Read more

As a resident of North Oakville, I feel this development is not required since there's adequate housing units and this development is proposed in a traffic congested area. All the roads leading to and around GO station are choked with traffic currently. Read more

I am writing as an Oakville resident deeply concerned about your government’s recent decision to consider imposing four Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) to force the revised Midtown Oakville Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) onto our town. Read more
