The Oakvile Go is already jammed pack during the rush hour, the traffic is crazy during the day, and there is no guarantee that people at this condo will use transit and given the reputation of area the developer wont have this condominium at affordable rate, and people with money dont travel in tra Read more

The TOC proposal for the Town of Oakville is not designed with consideration of the residents. It is too dense, it is in an already congested area of town and it is out of sync with current real estate trends. Read more

I have lived in Oakville for 40 years and have not heard of another proposed development that goes directly against what Oakville is. This development is far too large for such a small area at a time when condo sales are severely down. For 10 years now any time of day the highway is packed. Read more

As a Oakville resident and someone who commutes in this area daily, the traffic during rish hour is already incredibly long for local roads (e.g. 15 min to travel 2 km on Cornwall just to turn left on to Trafalfar). Read more

Too high density for our charming town. High rises don’t belong in Oakville. The area will be overpopulated and overrun with traffic. The province is changing our town, over populating it with no regard for existing residents.

Oakville needs affordable housing both for individuals/couples and families. I work in education with youth and families, I see first hand their struggles. We have large families that cannot find affordable housing. Read more

This will result in higher crime rates, higher density in traffic and overcrowding for public institutions like libraries, and schools. Having said that, I'm sure you don't care and will build it anyway, regardless of what taxpayers have to say.

There is already so much traffic in this area and then you want to add more condos and make it more congested? I miss the old Oakville which was easy to get around. Now it feels like everywhere you turn there is a condo like a sore thumb where there used to be bare land. Read more

I am so very disappointed again with the Ontario govt. We already have a congestion issue in that area of Oakville now. This is not helping the affordable housing issue at all and just seems to be a money grab for developers which will make our city unlivable. Read more

What is it about planners that do not consider the difference between “just having a living space (needed) in cramped company—-and a sense of space and beauty that creates good health and majestic qualities for living”? Read more

We are not in favour of this proposal. We agree that the site should be developed, however, it is the scale that is a concern. Traffic is already an issue and will only get much worse. It would effectively cut off the community above the QEW from that below. 025-1368

Please, as this proposal is reviewed, consider how many comments you have received in favour of this development. By all indications, the Town of Oakville, its elected Councillors and the public are opposed to the exceptional density contained within this proposal. Read more

Oakville is not fearful of growth, but it is adverse to growth that is not well thought out. Adding 11 condominium buildings in an area that is already over congested by traffic is irresponsible. Read more

This development project will result in overcrowding and major traffic congestion for the area. The community will be overwhelmed by this level of growth. Remember, if the community is unhappy, it means citizens are unhappy, which means voters are unhappy. Read more

Oakville does not have the infrastructure to handle the traffic now, let alone after the high density housing that is being discussed. This would be an epic failure on so many levels. I’d like to see how this committee feels the infrastructure works today! Or do they even care. Read more

Please requesting to not build these towers as these are not required, oak ville is a beautiful place, please do not crowd it, let it be nice and quiet place to live, don’t make it like other communities, we do not need any more condos specially here as we are not even selling what are already made.
