I disagree with repealing the Cap and Trade Act. As a mother and as a doctor, the realities of climate change are all too present and too looming to be ignored. This government has to act on behalf of us all and in the best interests of the one and only planet that we all depend on to survive. Read more

We need profitable plans to do our part in the climate crisis, making GHG reductions a priority across all ministries in government. Time and money is wasted when problematic legislation such as Bill 4, as well government programs and spending plans, undermine our climate obligations.

This bill is irresponsible. Cap and trade is a proven resource for the reduction of emissions, and the PC government has proposed no alternative. I completely disagree with the plan to eliminate cap and trade. Our children’s lives are at stake.

The province needs a plan to combat climate change. The recent weather emergencies are proof as to the Reality of climate change. Cap and trade was beneficial. It need not be eliminated until a new program is developed or the current one is adjusted.

This bill should not be passed. Not only has there not been sufficient time for serious consultation, but the very nature and intent of the bill is retrogressive. It takes us backward, when we should be moving forward, actively, on climate change. Read more
