With approximately 300,000 turbines installed globally, and having proof of the benefits, it's a disgrace to put a stop to the 4 turbines in Prince Edward County. Shame on you to waste all the money spend already, and close the White Pines Wind Project. I urge you to let common sense prevail.

My view is that the government needs a face saving way to walk this decision back and I have 3 points in that regard: 1. The recent IESO prediction that we will soon be short of generation capacity calls for the need for new generation being constructed. Read more

Our family lives within walking distance of the wind farm and have followed it every step of the way for the past 10 years. The public was given numerous opportunities for consultation and appeal on this project. The protests against it were addressed and none met even the legal case to cancel it. Read more

This will have such a negative effect on any future business investment in Prince Edward County where we live. If the province is really “open for business” they will reconsider their decision to rescind the White Pines Wind Project. Read more

This project near our Milford home, in its original REA application, consisted of 29 turbines. That would have produced enough electricity to power approximately 9,683 homes each year- almost the total number of homes in Prince Edward County. The 9 turbine project would power about 3,005 homes . Read more

I am a resident of Prince Edward County. While I support researching/utilizing alternative energy sources, the way in which White Pines conducted their business in The County is/was totally unacceptable. Read more

Strongly oppose this move by the Ontario government. It is reminiscent of Donald Trump's dismantling of the EPA and all Ontarians should be concerned about this government's lack of commitment to effective environmental policy. The jobs lost and contracts broken are also concerning.
