We want our Ontario government to protect the Environment regulations and rules. I am sick and tired of corporations taking advantage of our environment. I strongly oppose this motion. The regulations on these oil and gas companies are already laughably under-enforced and we should be making it more difficult for them to pollute, not "streamlining". We need stricter penalties and restrictions.

The government of Ontario has not yet published a climate change strategy yet it wants to reduce reporting by industry. That’s the wrong order of events. Articulate a strategy first followed by an action plan that needs to include reporting requirements.

Ontario is a powrhouse player in it's own right and should be a leader in this effort. Given our vast natural resources and beautiful geography, we cannot wait for the federal government to make decisions. We have the economic gravitas to do so ourselves.

No. Ontario should have higher standards. This is smoke and mirrors to hide what is actually happening. The world needs strong, innovative leaders right now, not leaders that are bought and paid for by industry. Lead by example.
