The dry type transformer regulation should not be updated to reflect the US DOE. THE US standards are often lower and more detrimental to human health and the environment.
The proposal doesn’t explain the reasoning for the existing regulation. Harmonizing for the sake of it isn’t good policy. Which has the highest standard? Whichever it is, we should adopt or keep, and not just harmonize with the lowest standard under the guise of “eliminating red tape”.
