The fact that you even need to do consulting for this is disgusting. How can a public good like water, that we have to pay for as the tax payers to upkeep, be something you sell for pennies that make them billions in profit. Do we not have the capabilities to extract this water ourselves? Read more

Please extend the moratorium. If we're going to solve the plastics crisis, drastically reducing water bottle production is essential. By lifting the moratorium you'll be feeding an industry that needs to be significantly curtailed.

I am in support of extending the moratorium on water removal by the bottling organizations. In fact, I am in favour of extinguishing this practice entirely. I would like to underscore that water is a Commons, belonging to all of us and is NOT a commodity to be sold off to a high bidder.

Thank You for extending this. Water should be in the Puclic trust and not a commodity to sell for profit. Going forward, there should be mandatory environmental assessments to determine if water taking permits should be renewed. Read more

I support the extension of the moratorium on new and expanded water taking permits. Water is a common good and should not be sold as a commodity. Water is a basic human right, necessary for our survival and should not be sold. Read more

I support the extension but I also ask for an environmental assessment to determine if water taking permits should be renewed? If we do not protect our water, it could be lost, my fear is that water has become a commodity and it should not be for sale! We must take action now!

I support the extension of the moratorium. And, in as much as water is not, nor should it ever be, a commodity to be taken from the earth for sale, I suggest that an Environmental Assessment be done to determine if water permits should be renewed. This is an extremely important issue.

On behalf of the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust, we support the extension of a moratorium on water bottle, water bottling permits until next year. This period will allow for more thorough ground water reviews that will provide science based evidence upon which to: Read more

Selling of our precious resource of water has zero merit and much negative aspects. De-watering has produces large sink holes in Nepean, Ontario. Land that is sold at least remains but water is gone forever. This story, if exposed widely, could be an interesting "60 minutes:" TV story. Read more

I am strongly in favour of continuing the moratorium on water bottling permits. Moreover, the Government should require Nestlé to sell the Middlebrook well to the Township of Centre Wellington, which needs it for drinking water, Read more

This moratorium should be permanent! Australia has cities running out of access to drinking water, as it is concurrently being pumped out and sold by bottled water companies like Nestle. This is happening worldwide. Don't let it happen to us. Leave our water to be used by our people! Read more
