Why consultation isn't required

On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.

Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for municipal storm sewers, sanitary sewers and stormwater management works serving Lanark Lifestyles Ltd., located at 240 Gore Street East, in the Town of Perth.

The stormwater management works for the development include stormwater quality (enhanced level) control and quantity (100 year post-development to 5 year pre-development) control. The on-site storm system is comprised of catch basins, storm sewers and oil/grit separator(s).

Drainage from the southern portion of the development will discharge to the existing drainage ditch on Rideau Ferry Road before being conveyed to the Tay River and ultimately to the Rideau River.

Drainage from the northern portion of the development will discharge to the existing drainage ditch on South Street before being conveyed to the existing storm sewer system on Gore Street East.
