Absolutely good idea to postpone the moratorium if more time is needed for the government to understand that our water is critical to our community and that taking water to put into plastic bottles to ship across the miles is a poor investment in our collective future.

I fully support the proposed extension of the moratorium on the Environmental Registry of Ontario. I also believe that the licenses for water bottling should be ended. This practice is a danger to the environment and our rights to clean water, accessible water for future generations. Read more

I'm glad to see that the province is planning to extend the moratorium on further water extraction by water bottling companies. Hopefully the extended time will be used to collect and evaluate meaningful information from the communities that are impacted.

I fully support extending the moratorium on bottling water as I think what Nestles tried to do in Elora and are doing in Guelph/Aberfolye is terrible. Local residents should control their own water resources and should have a strong say in regulations to that effect. Read more

I strongly support the proposed extension of the moratorium. The government has a responsibility to hear and represent its people, and to consult with and receive approval of the First Nations peoples whose lands are affected by water-taking activities.

As a resident of Elora in Wellington County I am in total support of extending the moratorium on water bottling permits to 01April 2021. I would like to see an end to all future permits that allow taking of our water to be bottled and sold for profit. Read more

I live in Centre Wellington and I support "Save Our Water" and I support the proposed extension of the moratorium on the Environmental Registry of Ontario. Water is too precious for Big business to deplete it for their profits. Thank you!

I support the proposal the 6 month extension of the moratorium on water bottling permits. As a resident of Elora, Centre Wellington, I am very concerned about water extraction in our community. I would like to see continued gathering of feedback and data so good regulations can be put in place.
