To control the wild pigs, how about open season for bow-hunters. No hunting tags required and with bow-hunters you don't have to worry about ricochets or "behind your target" damage / injuries. I'm not sure if wild pigs are good eats, but I'm willing to send a few bolts to find out.

Due to the nature of this species the best approach would be twofold. First coordinate sightings of live animals and track/run information through ministry, local(municipal) governments and citizens (particularly hunters and farmers) in order to keep track of and estimate numbers. Read more

One of the ways to controll these pigs, is to have an open season anytime of the year, with no limit. I personally do not hunt, nor am I a gun owner. However I have seen the damage these pigs cause and incredible speed the multiply.

Texas alone spend upwards of 4 million dollars a year controlling wild hogs and U.S crop losses exceed 1.5 billion annually from an estimated 9 million federal swine spread over 39 States. . Hunting alone won't be enough to stop this invasion but it would be a good place to start. Read more
