One of the main products of Ontario’s forest biomass industry is wood pellets. Wood pellets are marketed as a clean energy alternative, but we know that wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack.

You're going to cut down & burn trees that absorb carbon dioxide (releasing more carbon dioxide in the process) as a form of green energy?? What kind of hocus-pocus science are you basing this on?

Y’all are old so you won’t be around to see how badly you are treating the planet. But the younger generations will have to deal with all your failures. Get yourselves together
While in theory a forest biomass action plan seems viable as a substitute for environmentally harmful fossil fuels, the implementation of this plan is extremely contradictory and not completely transparent in its efforts.

Respectfully, if you do the math this approach is far from being a net Zero. You're not sequestering carbon by doing it. You just have to think that burning anything is questionable. They did it in the USA. It failed miserably.
Sincerely,
I am very upset to learn about the wood pellet business. As someone who is careful to buy only recycled products, I am completely opposed to any logging of trees from the boreal forests. I urge you to seek out real environmentally friendly sources and materials.
For every solution to the climate crisis, there are ten dead ends. Learning to recognize the dead ends as soon as possible is essential if we want to have a chance of turning things around. Turning trees into nice burnable pellets is crazy making. Science is all about being open to reality.

Stop cutting forests down for wood pellets that produce as much pollution as burning coal. xpanding the wood pellet industry – it’s a false climate solution that is dirtier than coal at the smokestack.
Stop expanding the wood pellet industry. It's not a clean source of energy and removal of regulation and oversight for taking of whole trees to streamline production is just stupid and shortsighted. Better to invest time and money into new and less polluting sources of energy
Expanding the Biomass industry which will lead to cutting down more trees makes no sense at all in this age of climate change. The wood pellets when burned create more damage than coal. Please reconsider your plans.
Expanding the wood pellet industry is not a climate solution. This product is more polluting at the smokestack than coal. It also negatively impacts forests. I urge you not to expand this industry.
This is an absolutely horrendous proposal. Trees are important enough as they are, but burning them for energy is even worse for the environment than coal! Don’t do this.
