I live in MUA 92 and have 50 acres which I bow hunt on and for the life of me can't understand why 91 and 92 are the only areas that are not being allowed to bow hunt while there is a controlled hunt going on that week. Read more

I live & own property on St. Joseph Island - area 45. There is a proposal to extend 2 days to the gun hunting season which I am in agreement with. I am not exactly sure what is meant by the early bow only season extension & new late muzzle-loading guns season. Read more

Have the over lap in 92 with bow and gun seasons. Many people are now hunting on smaller property which they are the only ones on. Should be able to continue to bow hunt during these time while wearing orange. Read more

Absolutely ridiculous to expand the season in wmu 45. Ask any hunter that’s been hunting St Joseph Island for the last 30 years and they will tell you that the numbers have steadily declined year over year since the peak in the mid 90’s. Read more

Why is WMU 91 & 92 not included in the proposal to let bow hunters participate in the gun hunt. As we are to follow all hunter safety an regulation as that of a gun hunter . Only difference is the choice of firearm chosen by the individual not dictated to be used.

It is absolutely wrong to allow Griffith island to have a 6 week rifle hunt,if they are worried about having too many deer on the island it is a pretty simple fix shoot more does,I guess the wealthy on the island only want to shoot bucks, allowing this season will harm the already low numbers of deer Read more

There is no ecological, socio-economical or safety reason why WMU 91 & 92 are not included in this proposal. In fact, with the urban sprawl around the great London area bow hunting will help deer populations in check where no firearms are not allowed. Read more

I was excited to see this proposal, particularly the proposed amendment to allow the use of bows during controlled hunts. This excitement turned to dismay as I realized that WMU 91 and WMU 92 were left out, without any rationale or justification given. Read more

Bowhunting should be allowed in WMU 91 & 92 during the gun weeks. The 21 days of muzzleloader only have taken away bowhunting opportunities for hunters even when they are on their own property which isn’t fair for hunters or landowners. Read more

I am and continue to be a long time archery hunter in Southwestern Ontario. I have always been frustrated by the November shotgun week because it is prime rut season and bow hunters rely on the rut to increase harvest potential. Read more
