I don't want wind turbines anywhere near my property. They can be destructive to birds and they are not sustainable. They are too costly for the length of time they last and they do more harm than good. This is not good for rural Ottawa and I don't want them. Read more

The urban centric Ottawa council as part of their self declared climate emergency has decided along with their Agenda 21 staff that they will convert to "green energy; wind and solar". Ottawa is situated on the Ottawa River, a source of clean AND DEPENDABLE hydro electric power. Read more

The electricity resource strategy cites a target to develop local or regional ‘renewable’ resources. This technology-biased target is an example of engineering by bureaucrats and NGOs, and will not achieve the goal of lowering CO2 emissions, and will unnecessarily increase costs for taxpayers. I urge you to disallow the inclusion of Tewin in Ottawa’s Official Plan. For some context and rationale as to why I make such an appeal to you: - My family’s home backs and sides onto Tewin. In fact as I type these words I am looking directly at Tewin out my home office window. Read more
