“30 days to consult” on these “proposed changes” is laughable. I have to give my landlord more notice if I’m moving out of my residence. 30 days is an insult to our protected lands and the legislation that enabled them.

The proposed legislation is simply going to reward developers with massive profits. There is adequate land available already. It is not necessary to sacrifice the Greenbelt. This issue will destroy the Conservative Party in Ontario.

Lands should not be released from the green belt for development until they are really needed, some time in the distant future. We need to keep pressure on new developments to maximize the number of units per hectare on lands already designated for urban development.
