You don’t have to touch the Greenbelt to provide more housing. What you need is better housing policies. You can always change housing policies within existing developments. They all don’t have to be condos either or detached homes. Read more

First let me say I never voted for Ford. Not the first time. Certainly not the second. I expressly remember him putting green belt development on the table. Voters vehemently opposed the idea and he swore it was off the table. Now here we are… LIAR. Read more

It is ridiculous that Ford would tell voters no more boundary expansion and then here we are - the people do not want this. We need our land for so many reasons - animal habitat, conservation areas, climate change, beautiful hiking..the list goes on. Read more

You can't bulldoze valuable environmental areas of a certain type, that function to clean our water and air, and sub in other "natural" zones that are already also existing. The City of Hamilton already voted to not expand our urban boundaries and the province is overriding that decision. Read more

Canada is known worldwide for its natural beauty and so many species depend on the Greenbelt. These proposed changes will probably not be the last and slowly the Greenbelt will erode away causing devastation to native flora, fauna, and native communities. Read more
