The proposed changes are a terrible idea. I’m very concerned about this. The green belt needs to be preserved and protected and not gradually destroyed piecemeal. We need our farmlands for food and forests for the health of the province and for the health of the planet. Read more

Isn't this against the law? This isn't a joke anymore. This will permanently change Toronto, Ontario and what Canada stands for. Toronto, specifically, is a mess and it's going to implode on itself eventually. The mental health and state of the city is not good. Read more

While I support more housing construction, I am vehemently opposed to changes to the Greenbelt plan that would create more suburban and exurban sprawl, something that we absolutely cannot afford anymore. I support adding the Paris Galt lands to the Greenbelt, but not the removal of any land. Read more

Exploring the greenbelt is my favourite activity. Be it by bike or by hiking boots it's what makes me proud to live in Southern Ontario. I would be devastated if such a staple of the region's landscape became something like a highway, subdivision, or both. Read more

The Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA) has indicated that Bill 23 is the most extensive and biggest package of legislative changes they have seen in over ten years. We do not offer an analysis as it is impossible to do with our limited resources and time given. Read more

I strongly oppose this legislation. It does nothing to provide affordable housing but does, instead, open the door for devastating harm to wetlands, agricultural land and more. This is a shocking move on the part of the government and I am, again, simply disgusted.
