I am not supportive of this proposal. For years, the Premier has made promises to not touch the Greenbelt, so this proposal erodes the trust of Ontario residents. In addition, expanding land available for building houses is not the answer.

Sensitive Agricultural lands, watershed, greenspace, forests, etc. absolutely need to be preserved for the longevity of life. If we don't preserve these areas, they will disappear and never come back.

I do not agree with the proposed changes. The Greenbelt is a stronghold for biodiversity, farmland, flood mitigation, and carbon sequestration. The need for more housing does not mean we should be removing greenspaces and habitat in order build them. Build up, not out.

I am very much against this proposal. Slowly chipping away at protected lands of the Greenbelt in order to profit development companies is a dangerous and slippery slope. We should be focusing on more long-term and sustainable practices like urban densification, not urban sprawl.
