Thank you for your continued service to our community. I am extremely concerned by the proposed changes that Bill 23 will bring to conservation and development in Ontario. I hope that you will consider my concerns, and the concerns of many others, seriously and stop this bill from going through. Read more

As much as we need to have housing to accomodate the incoming immigrants and the needs of Ontarians, green belt is the one thing that keeps Ontario beautiful. It's necessary for the wildlife, it's necessary for the residents and it's necessary for the environment as a whole. Read more

The Ford government should be ashamed of this proposal, not only because the premier has proven to be a hypocrite and liar, but mostly for the fact that this are protected land for a reason. Every decision this government makes makes the province a worse place. Complete incompetence.

We need our green belt for a healthy community. Once it is destroyed and built upon we can never regain the valuable resources this land provides to our agriculture, aquifers, flora and fauna and overall well being of every living creature. No building on the green belt!

This is a travesty......add land only; no trading* swapping* lying etc. Do it for the future and do the right thing. Amend the Greenbelt agreements to prevent any further incursions or highways.....strengthen the laws so politicians can't use the land for profit.... Please.

I grew up near and around the Greenbelt. Do NOT permit development of any kind on it. This is the exact opposite action for what we need to do as a species. Developing the green belt is another nail in our coffin (the environment, humanity, organic life). Read more

Wow, this really blew up in your face! It's obvious you sold the greenbelt to your developer friends, for how much we're not sure (but we'll find out soon). Leave the greenbelt alone, leave our water, our land, our food alone and forget your highway. Read more

These proposed changes to the Greenbelt are a step backwards. Rather than destroying valuable land and environments, the government needs to get more innovative with their housing policies and initiatives. Focus on creating more affordable, manageable housing projects e.g. Read more

Please please please don’t build on the green belt and protected farmland and wetlands! I am so horrified that this is going to happen. Environmentally these areas are so important to our sustainability of our future. You are now well aware we are facing down a climate crisis. Read more
