I am completely opposed to any development on the green belt. This area represents an important part of our fight against climate change and is imperative to our future. Doug Ford promised not to touch the green belt and I am disgusted by the blatant lies and bribery that are happening here.
The decision by this government to allow development on previously protected Greenbelt lands is deplorable. The land in question is environmentally sensitive, a valuable flood plain and home to thousands of wildlife species, some of which are at risk or considered endangered.

The green belt should not be urbanized and sold to developers. Preserve the green belt and build housing in Hamilton within urban boundaries. Build up rather than on our protected lands.

Housing can be developed within communities without sprawling into our green belt. Building in these areas will reduce farmland, increase chances of flooding and take away areas used for recreation while benefiting just a handful of developers.

I completely oppose Premiere Ford’s proposal to redevelop the green belt for housing. This is vital wildlife that needs protection and Premiere Ford assured voters he would protect.

I oppose this action. It is not in accordance with the promise of Doug Ford not to touch the green space. Pavement does not provide the benefits of land, water and trees untouched by progress. Repel this bill, please.
