I am against this bill. It is important to maintain greenspace and avoid fragmentation. Nature is vital for mental and physical well-being and the more we pave over green spaces closer to the GTA, this will make greenspaces further away and less accessible.
There is simply no reason to be removing or changing the existing greenbelt plan on the excuse that the builders and developers in Ontario have a lack of serviceable land.

I do not support this proposal. The proposal is self-serving for our Premier and his friends at the irreversible cost of all Ontarians. There are many ways to increase the housing stock without permanently destroying protected or otherwise undeveloped spaces.

Once the greenbelt is developed, it cannot be reversed. The purpose appears to be to develop housing. I would rather see the shortage of housing be addressed by increasing density in our cities.

I strongly oppose the proposed changes to the Greenbelt. I do not believe removing lands from the Greenbelt and allowing residential development in these lands is the appropriate way to solve the housing supply and affordability crisis.
