I voted conservative because I want to be less taxed and am extremely disappointed that the party is being so reckless with our environment. Destroying beautiful important land is shameful, short-sighted and we should not be considering it. I will consider your mistake when I vote next.
I disagree with this proposed amendment. We cannot take away land from the Greenbelt, meaning loss of agricultural land/green space and more sprawl.

I am outraged by the audacity this government has to break their electoral promises NOT to touch the green belt! Clearly this government is not just incompetent but also lying and actively damaging Ontarians while enriching their donors. This is criminal (literally) and should be prosecuted.

Please stop Bill23 and do not build on the Greenbelt. Please build affordable, sustainable housing with all green technologies (solar.panels, heat pumps, ev charging stations etc) for low-income families on paved land within city limits that is already available!
While Ontario needs more housing, the relentless sprawl is only attenuated by the green belt, and cutting into it to make property developers rich is shameful. Simply looking at the GTA will tell anyone with a whit of sense that mindless expansion solves no problems here.

I do not support the proposed amendments to the Greenbelt Plan. The long-term impacts of removing additional land from the Greenbelt have not been adequately considered. We do not need or want more suburban sprawl outside the GTA boundaries.

This plan does nothing to really address the housing shortage. Low income housing which is what is needed, for example apartments, need to be close to support networks, hospitals, family services, etc.
