The green belt was determined through great deliberation and consultation. The properties were picked with valuable reasoning. To just swap with other properties defeats the purpose of what the green belt is. This was a great government feat in the day which thought about the next generation.

The greenbelt is there for a reason. There should not even be a proposed amendment. Plenty of other spaces for houses to be built without destroying any more green spaces.

This project and proposal is grossly short sighted and does not take into the long term negative impact. We build vertically. No one needs subdivisions. Develop vertical and follow the guides presented by European countries who have been around far longer! Please reconsider this project. STOP.

I oppose Bill 23. It is injurious to the Greenbelt. With far too little debate, it acts to diminish support for environmental concerns. For personal transportation, Ontario needs to prioritize public conveyances over private, and Bill 23 leans in the opposite direction.
