This is too broad. I understand the need to address long term/seasonal anchoring but it should not stop overnight / short term anchoring. This is part of navigation safety to be able to moor in these areas.

I agree with al the proposals. They are probably overdue. I do think they should apply to all people, including indigenous peoples, other than those exercising treaty rights, etc. Hopefully, any changes will actually be enforced.

I am a real estate lawyer, cottager, boater and winter lake user. I am concerned about several aspects of these floating cottages - blocking navigable waterways is one - will they be in the way in the winter? How will they be taxed to pay for their share of shoreside infrastructure use? Read more

I share the same concerns about these floating cottages/accommodations. I am concerned they will grow in numbers due to their low cost compared to cottage property, to the point where they interfere with the enjoyment of our lake and cottage property. Read more

I strongly disagree with this proposal. The reasoning behind the proposed changes is flawed and seems to be reaching at some points to provide justification. It would appear from reading the text that it was a wide spread epidemic of boats anchoring in the river for weeks without moving. Read more

As much as I agree with the 300mt to private shoreline rule I think 7 days a year is very little for people who decide to stay in the province and spend time on water with family. Please consider making it maybe four times seven days summer is too short. Thank you for your work

This is a grave safety concern for boaters seeking safe harbour and visiting friends. 300m from shorelines with dwellings and/or even shore protection is not feasible putting lives at stake and putting them in direct paths of ferries and other shipping routes. Read more

Thousands of boaters use the waters in Georgian Bay to anchor. We respectfully use phosphate and sulfate free products to respect the water ways way more than cottages do. Read more

I am confused about this change, where specifically you've been having issues, and who will be negatively affected by it. There seems to be growing problems in the French and Mattawa River area but your changes will affect all of Ontario. Is this true? Read more

I believe that there should be no water discharge of any kind into Lakes from these floating cottages. They should not be rented, they should also have to pay whatever fees in order for them to be regulated & pay a property tax of sorts, as they are not boats or tents. Read more

I find the proposal to reduce the maximum stay from 21 to 7 days in one calendar year to be too restrictive. While I agree that there should be a maximum stay of 7 days at any one location, I think it should be within 30 days, i.e. Read more
