I am completely in agreement with bringing back previously exempted Greenbelt lands into the protected Greenbelt. Bring the legislation with no weasel escape clauses ASAP!!!! Once you remove prime agriculral land and environmentally sensitive lands, they are gone for good. Read more

This is great. But not sufficient. Don't damage the greenbelt by building expensive and uneccesary highways that will encorage wasteful sprawling development. Ontario cant afford, socially, economically or environmentally, another generation of sprawl!! Read more

The Greenbelt must be sacrosanct. It must never be touched. Just one exemption for what seems like a reasonable reason will be the first crack that will lead to more and more exemptions. It can only be expanded!

I fully support the proposal. The Greenbelt is vital to our health and well-being and the health of our water sources and environment and we need to protect it forever. I was outraged at the provincial government's attempts to re-purpose this essential green space.

To do anything less than permanently protecting the Greenbelt and restoring the land that was robbed would be a travesty. As a gesture of good will, the amount of returned last should be added back two times over.

The fact that this amendment is necessary attests to the fact that governments don't always act in the best long-term interests of it's people, nor do they listen to public outcry if it doesn't suit the needs of politicians friends and their profit margins. Read more

The Ontario Greenbelt must be fully protected at all costs. The value of the Ontario Greenbelt is incalculable as it it crucial to the Great Lakes ecosystem which is the largest freshwater ecosystem in the world. Read more
