This project should not go forward without full disclosure of plans for the site, traffic impacts and FULL environmental study. The residents of Chatham-Kent and County of Lambton deserve to know the FULL extent of this project to make an informed decision. Read more

This proposed facility is no where near a 400 series road. These trucks will be running through rural, small communities, that are not prepared for and do not have the infrastructure to accommodate this kind of volume of heavy commercial traffic. Read more

This dump 1km outside of Dresden which proposes to run 24/7 and process materials that contain hazardous waste such as asbestos will contribute not only to major noise pollution for the town but also harm the habitat in the area. Read more

This mega dump is not wanted anywhere near Dresden. Everything York 1 has done up until this point has been very sneaky and that is for a reason. What they are attempting to do is not something they would but in their backyard. They are trying to pull a “fast one” on a small town. Read more

This proposal is absolutely ridiculous. Why on earth should the people of Dresden have to deal with the garbage and waste of the people from Toronto? The amount of trucks driving up and down our roads creates an environmental, infrastructure and safety issues for the residents of Dresden. Read more

The proponent is applying to open a closed dump site within 1km of the town of Dresden Ontario. Using zoning that was put in place to allow the storage of ash from a incinerator that was used to burn local garbage. The initial land use doesn't compare to what is current being proposed by York1. If our Government is serious about the environment they need to rethink sending tons of landwaste by trucks from four hours away. This will increase road traffic, over use of roads, and cost of shipping. This makes no sense at all. Read more

I am not in favor of this proposal because of the following reasons 1. the request to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so close to residence homes I feel is just rather inconsiderate and unacceptable. Read more
