I fully support recognizing rock climbing in Devils Glen Provincial Park. Climbers are excellent stewards of the land and contribute money into the local economy. As a land user myself I think this is a step in a very positive direction,

Hi, I would love to see climbing being more integrated into Ontario Park the same way it is in BC or Alberta. I want my kids to be able to enjoy the parks the way I have been able to enjoy them the past few years if not better. Thank you Read more

Climbing as an activity is so important! It is a legitimate recreation type, gets people outside being active, and is an economic driver for the area. Climbers are a positive user group that cares for their environment and will help take care of Devil’s Glen park as well. Read more

Thank you for the thoughtful amendment that officially recognizes climbing as a permitted recreational activity. Are there are other Parks that could support climbing? - even on small rock faces that are suited to lower-risk top roping (maybe Charleston Lake for example?)

Adding climbing to Devil's Glen is an excellent amendment! Climbing is a wonderful outdoor activity, and can be done safely and with great respect to the environment, just like hiking, and it's great that this will be recognized.

Climbing has a long history at Devil’s Glen. Officially recognizing climbing as permitted would be a significant step forward for the vibrant and committed user group that has a long history in the park and has committed to stewardship. I fully support this change.

I moved back to Ontario a year ago after a decade in British Columbia. During my time there, I observed a distinct difference in the attitudes towards rock climbing specifically and outdoor recreation in general by both provincial and municipal agencies. Read more

This is a great project. Rock climbing is one of the fastest growing forms of outdoor recreation. Every new officially established climbing area helps bring new customers to local businesses, I am much more likely to spend my money in a community that accepts and welcomes me as a climber. Read more
