Please demand a full environmental assessment! It is essential and Bill 197 should apply to this situation. We are not a willing host and this would greatly impact our lives in a very negative way.
Bill 197 was obviously created for good reason and should be applied to this situation. If this goes through I will no longer feel safe raising my family in Dresden. Please help us.
This project should absolutely NOT be going forward. This is going to set precedence for all small towns that had an incinerator 40 plus years ago. The MOECP has already communicated to York1 that this is not a proper location for a megadump.

Take a drive to Dresden and see how close this proposed dump is to town limits and also molly creek and the sydenham river.

There NEEDS to be a FULL Environmental Assessment done on this property and regional environmental area to prove the environmental damage this will cause to this area that is already zoned M2 365 Agricultural land where we grow Ontario's fresh vegetables.

A Full Environmental Assessment will be required for this proposal if this type of Facility is to open to prove it should never be opened in this part of the region in the first and last place.

This is a ridiculous idea and needs to be quashed . Such a landfill site would directly affect this small community in many adverse ways , not to mention the impact on the neighbouring property owners adjacent to the site, the roadway, etc. this has been handled badly and needs to go away.
I fully support the need for York1’s Dresden site to undergo a complete environmental assessment prior to the Ministry approving ANYTHING with respect to the property. I live within Chatham-Kent, but am not a Dresden resident, although I do work in Dresden seasonally.
