Hi There, I dont agree with this proposal as I am a senior with a fixed income. To get an automatic charge to me because the ministry wants to do work on my property is very scary.

Permission from the operator of the well should be aquired first before any action is to be taken or even if it is necessay, this does not allow anyone to touch what is not theirs. Read more

Reading this proposal, some of the items are not clear on the recovery of costs and how that would apply. I can understand where it could apply to those who are current well operators who are not keeping the condition of the well in a safe condition but what about abandoned wells? Read more

I do not support this proposal. The ministry already has enough power to address issues with wells. Specifically owners of private gas wells should not be subject to even more overreach by the Ministry. Read more

Please do not allow fracking or oil and gas extraction near groundwater. Protect our wells by preserving the area around them. And do not use animal testing to test for contamination.
