I had a look at the provisions of bill 5 and it looks like a lot of it enables the bypass of current environmental protections. This is a bad idea to say the least. Those protections are there for good reasons.

It would be better to speed up the review process by increasing staffing than to allow projects to begin without a complete understanding of the risk to habitat and wildlife. Speed up the review process without cutting corners on thoroughness and accuracy.
