I urge the Ontario government to withdraw Bill 5 in its entirety and instead work with environmental experts, Indigenous leaders and the public to strengthen — not dismantle — our systems of environmental protection.

You don’t protect species by weakening the law that protects them. This proposal opens the door to destruction — not conservation. We need stronger protections, not corporate loopholes. Stop this attack on Ontario’s wildlife. Read more

I Strongly oppose these changes to the endangered species act by the Premier. We need to be protecting larger stretches of the remaining wilderness and clean water for the future not eating into the wild spaces and farmland which we can’t afford to lose. Read more

There is wildlife out there that cleans up after nature, and us, and it's endangered. AKA nearly extinct. If we pave over their habitats there will be nothing left for the children to experience. Aside from spending money in another country where they still protect their wildlife. Read more

This is a huge step backwards! Our environment is already at risk and being destroyed as we speak. Please stop! Do not go forward with this. Take a moment to consider the devastating effects this will have on our ecosystems and endangered species. Read more

This sounds like another Ontario Place scheme, where public input was ignored or not even requested and the result is a really bad development of public lands, where a few people are going to benefit at the expense of all Ontario Tax Payers. Read more

Bill 5 proposes to repeal the Endangered Species Act — one of the few tools we have to protect at-risk wildlife and the ecosystems they depend on. Replacing it with vague “goals” and unenforceable measures will lead to the further decline of species already on the brink. This is not modernization. Read more

Who are these proponents and why do they need immediate access to land they are not entitled to? Protocol has already been established. Is there any other reason besides financial profits to the developers? Do concerned Ontarians not have any say in what happens to our province? Read more

Hello, How can Ontario be healthy and grow when non-human species don’t count? Where is the thrill to go out, enjoy Nature, see plants and animals when there is not much left? Why does everything have to conform to what a few people, in power as politicians for a limited time, think is right? Read more
