I oppose bill 5. I want Ontario to pass bills that strengthen environmental protection, not remove it. I want Ontario to provide stronger protection of endangered species. I opposed short cuts for industry with no public oversight. I opposed overriding the law in special economic zones.

Do NOT change the endangered species act. We need nature and wildlife and I do not support the deaths of so many animals and birds, plus the destruction of habitats. There are other ways to tackle the housing crisis that don't involve paving over natural spaces.

There is a better way to balance growth with concern and care for the environment and the future. Stop unnecessary expansion and focus on infill and don't compromise the health of the Ontario environment. Speed of development can be achieved without compromising species at risk and green space. We need to maximize the stability and health of future generations, not maximize industrial profit. Please do not pass this bill and restrict the ability for the public to be involved with building their communities.
