Bulletin details
In June 2026, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming made amendments to the Minister’s Zoning Order for Ontario Place (O. Reg. 194/24: Zoning Order - Ontario Place) to facilitate the design and delivery of the redeveloped Live Nation RBC Amphitheatre facility.
The Minister’s Zoning Order amendments achieves the following objectives:
- Expand the site definition of Ontario Place Block 3 (“Live Nation Block”) to accommodate changes to Live Nation’s lease footprint.
- Exempt the Live Nation Block from S.114 of the City of Toronto Act which establishes Municipal Site Control.
- Provide Zoning parameters for permitted uses, the expected built form, the new West Pedestrian bridge and landscaping features in alignment with Live Nation’s planned redeveloped facility.
These amendments align with the existing Minister’s Zoning Order for Ontario Place issued in May 2024 to ensure zoning consistency, which will support consistency across Ontario Place in design standards and allow for a redeveloped expanded facility and programming.
