Opportunity to provide additional information relating to the City of Toronto’s Official Plan Amendment No. 804.

Pursuant to subsection 17(55) of the Planning Act, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing has referred City of Toronto Official Plan Amendment No. 804 (OPA 804), in its entirety, to the Ontario Land Tribunal for a recommendation. The authority for the Minister to refer all or part of an official plan matter to the Ontario Land Tribunal for a recommendation was introduced through amendments to the Planning Act made through the More Homes for Everyone Act, 2022.

Pursuant to subsection 17(57), the Ontario Land Tribunal has been requested to provide a recommendation, including rationale, respecting whether OPA 804 should be approved, should be modified and approved, or should be refused.

It is recognized that there may still be lands proposed to be designated as Employment Areas in OPA 804 in respect of which no submissions were made prior to the Minister’s referral to the Tribunal. If you wish to submit any supplemental information in respect only of such lands proposed in OPA 804 to be designated as Employment Areas to the Ministry, you can do so by emailing that information to 20.OP.257736@ontario.ca by Monday, October 26, 2026 11:59pm EST. 

Any additional information received in response to this bulletin will be shared with the Ontario Land Tribunal. The Ontario Land Tribunal will determine the process associated with the referral, including how records sent to it will be used.
